Introducing My New Line of "Storytellers Stencils" from StencilGirl!

I am so honored to be the newest artist added to the StencilGirl Products line! My new "Storytellers Collection" has launched today, and these stencils are SO MUCH FUN! StencilGirl is a wonderful company that specializes in stencils designed by and for artists. When I first learned about the company a few years ago, I drooled over the wonderful assortment of stencils and dreamed of being a part of their line-up. Today that dream has come true! You can purchase the stencils here.

The idea behind my "Storytellers Collection" is to provide stencils that can be mixed and matched to help artists tell their personal narratives - in paint, wax, fiber or whatever medium they choose.  In the "City Stories," stencil, for example, I have included buildings, vehicles, houses and trees to add to your own city scenes.  There is even a Volkswagon bus! In "Camping Stories," there is a tent, trees, stars, a dream catcher and a mountain where I have left space for artists to inscribe their own poetry, words or alter book pages. You can see some of the encaustic artwork I have created with the stencils above, and over the next few days, I will be sharing my process of painting some of them. I hope you enjoy these, and please let me know if you have any questions or need advice on how to best use them! I would love to share my tips and tricks with you. In the meantime, you can see how artist Maria McGuire used them in her recent project.
